    Description

Thinking Anglers was founded in 2005 by Ben Hamilton and Steve Fantauzzi with a singular mission: offer carp and predator anglers “just the right kit”—no excess, no wasted bulk, but uncompromising quality and practical innovation. Their combined experience—Steve’s 17 years in a tackle shop near Yateley and Ben’s reputation as a top-tier big‑fish angler—helps fuel their attention to detail and real-world design philosophy.

Since the beginning, Thinking Anglers has introduced industry-first innovations, including elasticated tip‑tops, rekao-type ring swivels, snag bars, hook beads, and the revolutionary carp care kit. They were also the first to launch a tungsten‑coated hook‑length material dubbed Tungskin, offering unmatched weight and durability.

From tackle to luggage, everything in their product range is rigorously tested in real angling conditions. Their terminal tackle has grown to include coated hooklinks like Camsoft and Camstiff, PTFE swivel finishes, Recoil and Think Link materials, and practical accessories such as stripper scissors and hook honers—all designed by anglers for anglers.

Their luggage lines—Olive and Camfleck—provide premium-quality rucksacks, rod bags, and accessories in camo-accented, 600D/210D PVC-backed fabrics. These designs are freshened over time to include stronger zips, thicker fabrics, robust toggles, and thoughtful features like thumbhole cuffs, internal smartphone pockets, hanging loops, and reinforced stitching targeted at mobile and session anglers.

At the core of the brand is a culture of purposeful simplicity: no hype, no gimmicks—just dependable gear built to last and serve a meaningful role in the angler’s arsenal.
