Catterick Racecourse new lake record - Strongbow

Hard work, consistency and smart baiting paid off in style for George Davies, who landed one of his target fish from the Catterick Racecourse syndicate – and what a capture it was!

After putting in serious hours during the autumn without success, George kept his work rate high through the spring, consistently introducing bait into a handful of neglected areas around the lake. His effort has been rewarded with Strongbow at 37lb 4oz, a new lake record and a new PB!

George’s winning combination was a couple of kilos of DNA BAITS SLK and Bug boilies soaked in SLK and Bug Amino Smoke , with a SLK Corker pop-up on a hinged stiff rig doing the business over the top.

A proper northern chunk and a dream fish ticked off the list
