Bounty Lakes B1 is one of those French carp lakes that just feels carpy the minute you arrive. It’s got a nice balance to it — enough features and depth changes to keep you thinking, but still the sort of water where if you put the effort in and fish well, you’ll get opportunities.
What stands out most about B1 is how consistent it can be. The fish clearly respond to good angling rather than just chucking rigs anywhere and hoping for the best. Spending time watching the water, finding showing fish, and keeping on top of your baiting tends to make a massive difference here. It’s the kind of lake where small adjustments can quickly turn quiet spells into proper action.
The stock is in great condition too, with some lovely carp that fight hard and keep you coming back for another session. There’s a good mix of fish, so you always feel like something special could turn up at any point. The lake has clearly been looked after properly over the years, both in terms of fish care and the overall environment.
The swims are well set out with enough room to fish comfortably without feeling like you’re sat on top of other anglers, and the whole place has a quiet, focused atmosphere that suits proper carp fishing. It’s not about gimmicks or overcrowded pegs — it’s about enjoying your fishing, working things out, and making the most of your time on the bank.
For anglers who enjoy location, watercraft, and steadily building a session rather than instant chaos, B1 is a really enjoyable lake to fish and definitely one that can keep you thinking right until the last rod is packed away.

After visiting Bounty B1 we 3 times and spending 3 weeks on the venue we have found the house particle to be the best approach, little and often. Big beds of bed didn’t work for us. Bright pop ups also worked better than a boilie as a hookbait.
Don’t smash in loads of bait when you get there, start off with 2 or 3 spombs on an area and go from there. Also we found fishing a longer hooklength worked better due to it being a silty lake.
We found pegs 3 and 4 fishing to the margin had the best results, also there is a bloodworm bed in front of peg 6 which we did well in. Pegs 5 and 2 we cast to the middle of the lake and had a few night bites.
Solid PVA bags work wonders with pellet.
