Holden’s Lake Embryo Angling

Holdens has been showing off lately… and this one is no exception! Kyle banked a proper unit from Swim 7, and not just any carp — it’s “Combo”, a known resident that hasn’t made an appearance in a while.

Great to see it back on the bank, looking in mint condition and tipping the scales at 33lb 13oz — not far off a new top weight!

Kyle had his rods locked on 16 wraps down his right-hand margin, lining up to the tallest tree. Rig of choice? A D rig with a hand-sharpened Wide Gape X, fished over a spread of mixed boilies. The hookbait? Classic combo: Cell bottom bait topped with half a yellow pop-up.
