PATIENCE REWARDED WITH ANOTHER HOPE LAKE THIRTY
Kai Scales continued his impressive run on the Hope Lake syndicate at Grendon Lakes, adding a 32lb 14oz common to his growing tally from a carefully prepped spot!
Fishing at 80 yards over a silty area, Kai had two rods positioned perfectly on the spot. After 48 hours with no action but plenty of signs over the area, his patience was rewarded when his left-hand rod pulled up tight around 9am – while he was watching another angler land a fish across the lake!
His winning set-up was DNA BAITS white Bug Half Tones pop-up that he’d had glugging for over a year, which he then dipped in Bug Liquid Food and rolled in Insect Meal before casting out. His loosefeed was made up of 15mm and 18mm Bug boilies, soaked in Bug Liquid Food and a touch of Bug Amino Smoke, also rolled in Insect Meal for that extra attraction.
Sometimes sitting tight on good prep and sticking to your instincts pays off big time!
A nice result on what can be a tricky venue!
