As a carp angler who spends a lot of time fishing weedy venues, chod rigs and hinged stiff rigs are a huge part of my arsenal. That’s why the Korda Chodsafe has become an absolutely essential piece of kit for me. I always have one in my bag, pre-loaded with a variety of rigs, and it’s a total game-changer. The two different diameter sections are perfect for keeping both my shorter chods and longer hinged stiff rigs perfectly curved, so they’re always ready to be clipped on and cast out. The machined aluminum bar and pins hold everything securely, so I never have to worry about my hook points getting blunted or the rigs losing their shape in transit. The pop-up handle is also a brilliant feature, making it so easy and safe to steam the rigs into the perfect curve. The only real downside I’ve found is that the case itself seems to scratch and mark quite easily, but that’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect its performance in the slightest. Despite that minor issue, it’s a rugged and sturdy piece of gear that has stood up to a lot of abuse in my bag. For any angler who uses chod or hinged stiff rigs, this is a must-have.
The Korda Chodsafe is an indispensable piece of kit for anglers who frequently use chod and hinged stiff rigs, especially in weedy conditions. Its design effectively protects and maintains the perfect curve of up to 28 rigs, with a handy pop-up handle for safe steaming. While the case is prone to scratching, its robust construction and clever features make it a highly practical and reliable storage solution.

The Korda Chodsafe is the ultimate storage solution for any angler who relies on chod rigs or hinged stiff rigs. This impact-proof case is specifically designed to protect and maintain the perfect curve of your pre-tied hook sections, ensuring they are always ready for action.
Inside, the Chodsafe features two different diameter cylindrical sections, allowing you to store both shorter and longer chod rigs in their ideal shape. Rigs are secured in place with a grooved, machined aluminum bar and pins, which prevents damage to delicate hook points during transit.
But the innovation doesn’t stop there. The Chodsafe also includes a cleverly engineered pop-up handle. This allows you to easily and safely steam your rigs into the perfect curve without burning your fingers. The case is finished with a soft-touch rubber and a secure magnetic closure system, ensuring it won’t open accidentally in your tackle bag. With space for up to 28 chod rigs and a dedicated section for three pre-tied leadcore leaders with Heli-Safe beads, the Korda Chodsafe is an essential piece of kit for the serious chod angler.
